Create Schedule

Learn how to create and configure automated schedules for your EZ Testing workflows and groups.

Overview

Schedules in EZ Testing allow you to automate the execution of workflows and groups at specific times or intervals. This enables continuous testing, regular monitoring, and efficient resource utilization.

Prerequisites

  • Active EZ Testing account
  • Existing tasks to schedule

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Access Schedule Management

  1. Navigate to the EZ Testing dashboard
  2. Click on "Schedules" in the main navigation menu
  3. Select "Create New Schedule" from the schedule management page

2. Configure Basic Schedule Information

  1. Schedule Name: Enter a clear, descriptive name that identifies the purpose of your schedule

  2. Set Status: Choose whether to activate the schedule immediately:

    • Enable: Schedule will run automatically according to your settings
    • Disable: Schedule will be saved but won't execute until manually enabled
  3. Select Task: Choose which task you want to schedule from the list of available tasks in your workspace

  4. Active Time Range: Define when your schedule should be active (optional - leave blank for always active)

  5. Choose Schedule Type: Select how frequently you want the task to run:

    • Hourly: Runs every hour or at specific hour intervals
    • Daily: Runs once per day at a specified time
    • Weekly: Runs on specific days of the week
    • Monthly: Runs on specific days of the month
    • Cron Expression: Use custom cron syntax for advanced scheduling patterns
  6. Start Time: Specify what time of day the schedule should start executing

  7. Day of Week: (For weekly schedules) Select which days of the week to run the task

  8. Day of Month: (For monthly schedules) Select which days of the month to run the task

3. Review and Save

  1. Validate Configuration: Review all settings to ensure they are configured correctly
  2. Save Task: Click the "Save" button to save your schedule configuration
